650km across the Maasai Mara. Wildlife on the course. No race like it on Earth.
About this event
For internal testing purposes only. Content is placeholder.
Most gravel races ask you to deal with wind, mud, maybe some heat. The Migration Gravel Race asks you to deal with wildebeest.
This is a four-stage race through the Maasai Mara — one of the most remote, wild, and frankly surreal places you could ever ride a bike. The course crosses rugged gravel roads, cattle tracks, and wildlife trails across four intense stages. At an average elevation of 1,900 metres. Through Maasai villages, open plains, river crossings, and big game country. Stage 3 alone crosses vast open savannah where encounters with wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles are common.
There are two routes. The Leopard is the full-length, high-tempo race. The Zebra is shorter and non-competitive, but still delivers the iconic and breathtaking sections that define the race. Neither is easy. Both will change how you think about what a gravel race can be.
All paths are open to other users — including wildlife, cattle, herders, motorbike taxis, safari jeeps, and local villagers. Migrationgravelrace You yield to the elephant. That's just how it goes out here.
It's part of the Gravel Earth Series. It's been called the hardest gravel race in the world. And once you've ridden it, you'll understand why people come back.
Terrain: single track, game trails, red clay, hard-pack gravel, river crossings. No tarmac to hide on.
